LAWN AERATION & OVERSEEDING IN ST. CHARLES COUNTY

When Is the Best Time to Aerate Your Lawn?
As soil becomes compacted over time, grass roots can struggle to absorb the water, oxygen, and nutrients they need for healthy growth. Core aeration helps break up compacted soil and creates pathways for these essentials to reach deeper into the root zone.
Recommended Aeration Times:

Spring: April 1 – May 15, before the summer heat arrives

Fall: September 1 – Mid-October, when conditions are ideal for root development and lawn recovery
For most lawns, we recommend aerating at least once per year. For lawns with heavy foot traffic, compacted soil, or thinning turf, aerating in both the spring and fall can help produce even better results.
